Lambretta Li150 rebuild – Font hub rebuild, part 2

Posted by Barry on May 14, 2012 in Lambretta Series 3 Li150 Rebuild |

Finally finsihed off the rebuild of the front hub yesterday but I really only did this as a dry build to begin with as I wanted to test that all the parts were all fitting OK, the seem to be so I’ll dismantel the hub again tonight & rebuild it with heaps of grease.

Replaced all the barings & seals with brand new ones & thourghly re-greased everything that needed it.

New stainless steel nuts & washers plus all the metal parts were all regalvanised in zinc, so the whole hub looks 100% band new.

Test fitting it to the wheel & forks went well, except I will have to strip down one of the wheel rims as one of the holes for the studs to go though is not aligned 100%.
